Welcome to the website of Tsechen Kunchab Ling, Temple of All-Encompassing Great Compassion, and the Seat of His Holiness the Sakya Trizin in the United States. His Holiness established the temple in Walden, New York in order to strengthen the Dharma in North America by creating a place where both renunciates and lay people could gather to practice the Dharma and to devote themselves to study, contemplation, and meditation.
Temple activities and the construction of the new temple building are under the direction of Venerable Khenpo Kalsang Gyaltsen, Vice President of Tsechen Kunchab Ling and Spiritual Director of Sakya Phuntsok Ling Centers for Tibetan Buddhist Study and Meditation in Washington, D.C.

Tsechen Kunchab Ling is delighted to announce that HIS HOLINESS THE SAKYA TRIZIN has kindly agreed to return to the United States in 2011!
He will be offering teachings and other activities on our behalf at Tsechen Kunchab Ling, as well as many other venues in the West.
